Victim in stable condition after shooting at Moncks Corner mosque, police say

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCIV) — A person was shot and injured at a mosque in Moncks Corner Sunday afternoon, according to local police.

Moncks Corner Police Chief Antwan Richardson said that around 12 p.m. on Sunday, MCPD responded to a report of a shooting at the Muhajirun Wal Ansar Mosque. The person who called it in reported that they had been shot, he added.

Officers arrived to find the victim, a male, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to Richardson. They were transported by EMS to Trident Hospital and are currently in stable condition, according to the chief…
