Safehouse Ministries will be patrolling the streets of Columbus looking for homeless or anyone in need of warm shelter this week. “What we plan to do is we have a male van and a female van,” said Eric McClure, Director of Facilities and Staffing. McClure said the men, women and children will be taken to their respective shelters for assistance.
The non-profit also has a truck for anyone with bicycles or belongings that wouldn’t otherwise fit inside the van. “We feed them a hot meal, they can take a hot shower and pick out clothes,” McClure said.
