Multiple schools across Ohio announce closures for Monday

OHIO — A powerful winter storm that has dropped heavy snow and brought dangerously cold temperatures across much of Ohio has led to extensive school closures and adjustments for Monday, January 26, 2026. With many communities under winter weather warnings, local officials have moved quickly to cancel classes and protect student safety.

In northeast Ohio, multiple districts have already announced closures for Monday because of hazardous travel and significant snow accumulation. Campbell City Schools and the Northeast Ohio Impact Academy confirmed they will be closed Monday due to extreme weather conditions.

Central and southeastern Ohio also reported a long list of closures. Numerous schools — including Anchor Christian Academy, Bishop Fenwick, Bishop Rosecrans, Caldwell Schools, Coshocton City Schools, East Muskingum Schools, Granville Schools, Morgan Local Schools, New Lexington City Schools, Northern Local Schools, Ridgewood Schools, West Muskingum Schools and others — are closed Monday, with many extending closures through Tuesday, January 27.
