Springtime brings renewal and new birth for flowers and this year it will do the same for a popular Whitehaven restaurant. Big Bill’s Bar-Be-Que is going into its chrysalis phase, upgrading and improving, with plans to emerge from its cocoon this April, reports Daily Memphian.
William “Curtis” Givens’ 4101 Elvis Presley Boulevard restaurant received an Inner City Economic Development loan from the Economic Development Growth Engine for Memphis and Shelby County to assist with the renovations. Big Bill’s Bar-Be-Que will be upgrading it outside lighting, interior, and signs.
Givens explains his motivation for the improvements, saying: “Whitehaven holds a special place in my heart. I want to do improvements to improve foot traffic.”…
