2 college students among 3 killed in fiery wrong-way crash in Rhode Island

Three people — including two Bryant University students — have died after a fiery, wrong-way crash in Lincoln, Rhode Island, overnight.

Rhode Island State Police said they started receiving 911 calls around 12:30 a.m. Sunday reporting a vehicle driving southbound on Route 99 north. A short time later, 911 calls were received for a crash involving the same vehicle on 146 north in Lincoln.

Investigators have determined that a Ford pickup truck driven by 41-year-old Denis Aguilar Campos, of Chelsea, Massachusetts, was traveling south in the high-speed lane of Route 146 north.
