Woman suspected of DUI, attempted murder after crashing into 2 women in Gaslamp

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A woman was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and two counts of attempted murder after she allegedly intentionally struck two pedestrians with her vehicle in the Gaslamp area on Saturday morning.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the driver, who was identified as Annabel Fernandez, was reportedly involved in an altercation with the two women pedestrians before striking them with her vehicle.

At around 7:58 a.m. Saturday, an officer was near Fourth Ave. in Downtown San Diego when he reportedly witnessed a Kia Optima rapidly approach and veer toward two women crossing the street at the intersection of Fourth and Island Avenues.
