Bowling Green Fire Division responded to a fire at Easy Street Cafe, at 104 S. Main St., on Saturday evening. The fire was contained to an attic space above the kitchen, according to Fire Capt. Ronnie Closson.
The restaurant will reportedly be closed for a short period due to water damage and a little smoke damage in the kitchen.
The fire call came in just before 8 p.m. An investigator concluded the fire started near a furnace in an attic space at the back of the restaurant. Staff smelled smoke and tried to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher and a couple buckets of water, Closson said…
