What The Weather Looks Like Now

According to the ​National Weather Service, the long-anticipated Arctic air mass has fully taken hold of North Texas. Daytime highs are expected to remain in the 20s, while overnight lows dip into the teens and even single digits through Tuesday morning. Some areas northwest of the region could briefly fall below zero, with wind chills plunging as low as minus 10 degrees.

Road conditions across North and Central Texas are now at their worst due to accumulating sleet and ice. Officials urge residents to avoid travel if possible, as impacts are expected to linger through Monday with no meaningful thaw in sight.
