LOUISIANA, USA — Winter weather prompts government office closures across southeast Louisiana. Parishes reported closures, delays and normal operations for Monday, Jan. 26.
Here’s What We Know:
Orleans Parish
“Orleans Parish Civil District Court, First and Second City Court will be closed Monday, January 26, 2026, due to the inclement weather conditions! The courts are scheduled to re-open on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, for normal hours.”
New Orleans City Hall and offices will open at noon Monday, Jan. 26. Employees should report at 12 p.m. as scheduled, and those on essential or emergency assignments should check with supervisors for instructions.
Gretna
The City of Gretna said most departments will operate normally Monday, Jan. 26 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The only exception is Recreation. Outdoor sports and activities scheduled for Monday evening have been canceled in line with Jefferson Parish schools. Indoor sports will continue as planned.
