NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – In celebration of Route 66 turning 100 this year, historians, libraries, and museums are teaming up to preserve the stories of Route 66 for future generations. The Route 66 Speaker Series will take place every fourth Saturday at 12 different locations.
Fifteen speakers circulate at every location, so that attendance is convenient throughout the metro, Bernalillo, Rio Rancho, Los Lunas, and the east mountains. This weekend’s event kicked off at the Albuquerque Wheels Museum.

The next speaker series event will be on February 28…
