Community comes together to decorate new women’s shelter in downtown Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Blanchet House in downtown Portland is about to open a women’s shelter and they have invited the community to help decorate it.

On Saturday, community members and volunteers helped the non-profit organization complete a painting at Bethanie’s Room in Old Town, the newest women’s overnight shelter.

Pitmaster will bring Southern BBQ to Portland’s Kann

The mural was designed by local artist Sarah McCracken. Painters of all skills could join in to help bring it to life.
