COXSACKIE, N.Y. (NEWS10)– A 16-year-old male has been arrested in connection to a September crash on State Route 81 in Coxsackie that injured himself and four others. According to New York State Police, the teenager faces both felony and misdemeanor charges.

On Thursday, the driver was arrested by state police and released on his own recognizance.
He was charged with:
- Aggravated Vehicular Assault: causing serious physical injury to more than one other person (felony)
- Aggravated DWI: with a child-passenger less than 16 (felony)
- Second degree reckless endangerment
- Driving while intoxicated
- Operating Motor Vehicle Impaired by Drugs
- DWAI combined Influence of Drugs or Alcohol and Drugs
- Reckless Driving
- Act in matter to Injure Child Less than 17
According to State Police, in September, the 16-year-old was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu westbound with four juvenile passengers when he reportedly lost control of the car and struck a rock embankment.
At that time, the driver and his passengers sustained varying injuries and were transported to Albany Medical Center for treatment. All were reported to be in stable condition.
