I hope you are reading this column in front of the fireplace, or at least from the comfort of your warm home on this frigid weekend. It’s rare in the Lansing area that we have roughly the same cold temperatures as the Upper Peninsula and say, North Pole, Alaska. That was the case today, Jan. 24, as I write this column.
Many people mentioned it was a bit of a dreary week as we battled cold weather, bad roads and more snow. But also because the local news this week was full of tragedy.
