Texas airports buckle under winter storm, flights cancelled nationwide

Hundreds of flights across Texas were canceled or delayed Monday due to Winter Storm Fern, as frigid temperatures, snow, and ice wreaked havoc on major airport hubs in Dallas, Houston and Austin.

More than 320 departing flights from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and Love Field were cancelled Monday morning—approximately 43 percent of all scheduled departures, according to FlightAware.com. An additional 158 departing flights faced delays.
