The Webster Groves annual 2025 fiscal audit revealed a pleasant surprise, with the city gaining an unexpected surplus.
The general fund, the most closely watched financial metric, had $22.7 million in revenues with expenses of $20.8 million, for a surplus of $1.9 million. The city had projected a deficit of roughly $400,000 in its fiscal year 2025 budget, so the budget surplus was likely welcome news to the council.
