7’s Hero: A Meridian man is on a mission to bring comforting life-like dolls to dementia patients in Treasure Valley memory care facilities

BOISE, Idaho — Life-like baby dolls are making a difference in our local memory care facilities. Studies have shown that cuddling a baby doll can calm and comfort patients with dementia.

Treasure Valley man Chris Stewart is working to get a doll to every facility that wants one. He says his grandmother was his inspiration.

“When you are younger, your grandparents are superheroes to you,” said Stewart. “My grandma Alice was my superhero.”…
