LAPORTE, Colo. — A semi-truck driver faces multiple charges including vehicular homicide following a deadly head-on crash early Saturday near Laporte in Larimer County.
Colorado State Troopers responded to the crash on southbound Highway 287 near West County Line Road 54E around 4:40 a.m. on Jan. 24. The truck was hauling a vehicle on a trailer.
According to CSP, the semi was traveling north in the southbound lanes when it collided head-on with a Toyota. Both vehicles caught fire. Two people were in the Toyota. A 20-year-old who was driving the Toyota was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. A 21-year-old man who was a passenger in her vehicle died at the scene, CSP said…
