Gasoline prices in Eugene rise amid national increase

EUGENE, Ore. — Gasoline prices in Eugene have increased by 4.8 cents per gallon over the past week, reaching an average of $3.10 per gallon, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 78 stations in the area. Despite this rise, prices remain 8.8 cents lower than a month ago and 33.2 cents lower than a year ago. The national average for diesel has also seen an increase of 7.8 cents, now standing at $3.54 per gallon.

The cheapest gas station in Eugene was priced at $2.69 per gallon Sunday, while the most expensive was $3.69 per gallon, marking a $1.00 difference. Across the state, prices ranged from $2.56 to $4.09 per gallon, a $1.53 difference.

Nationally, the average gasoline price has risen by 7.5 cents in the last week, averaging $2.84 per gallon. This is up 3.6 cents from a month ago but remains 23.9 cents lower than a year ago.
