City of Reno To Consider Greater Nevada Field Ownership

(Reno, NV) – Greater Nevada Field could soon undergo an ownership change. The City of Reno is set to consider an agenda item at Monday’s Redevelopment Agency advisory meeting, which would allow the Reno Aces to take full ownership of the stadium in exchange for a 20-year non-relocation commitment and a 40-million dollar investment in the ballpark area. The stadium was originally built through a public-private partnership and funded by a rental-car tax surcharge in Washoe County.
