Weekend winter storm – 1/25/2026 – News 8 at 10
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A winter storm that hit central Indiana on Saturday and Sunday resulted in significant snowfall, with Columbus receiving 14.8 inches and Indianapolis totaling 11.1 inches, the National Weather Service at Indianapolis said Sunday night.
Indianapolis also set a daily snowfall record on Jan. 25 with 8.6 inches, surpassing the previous record of 4.9 inches set Jan. 25, 1978, which was the first day of the Blizzard of 1978.
Communities close to and along I-70 reported 12 inches of snow or more, the weather service said. The cities of Bloomington and Seymour in south central Indiana reported 14 inches of snow…
