The search for Willa: Charleston family’s cat allegedly stolen by delivery driver

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A family in Charleston is asking for the community’s help in finding their beloved cat, after they said it was stolen by a food delivery driver in the area.

A routine food delivery in a downtown Charleston neighborhood ended with the Layfield family searching for answers. Security footage shows a food delivery driver allegedly taking Willa, the Layfield family’s cat, on the night of January 15th. Willa’s collar and tracking device were removed, explained Daniel Layfield.

“We found her AirTag and her collar ripped off, thrown off to the side of a street a mile away, and immediately we knew that she had been stolen,” Daniel Layfield said…
