Charleston, South Carolina – Very cold air sweeping across the Southeast could combine with a developing coastal system to bring winter weather impacts to parts of southeast South Carolina and southeast Georgia this weekend. With temperatures expected to plunge 20 to 25 degrees below normal, even light precipitation could create icy conditions by early Sunday.
According to the National Weather Service in Charleston, an area of low pressure may form off the Southeast coast, increasing the chance of precipitation across coastal and inland areas.
