SOUTH CAROLINA — A man was taken to the hospital Sunday afternoon after being shot in Florence County, according to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff T.J. Joye said a couple encountered the injured man while he was walking along Cale Yarborough Highway just outside the Timmonsville city limits. The man reportedly told the couple that he had been shot in the leg.
The couple drove the man to a nearby store, where they met emergency medical services. Sheriff Joye said the individuals who assisted the man applied a tourniquet to control the bleeding until paramedics arrived on scene…
