The Loop Restaurant’s Eastgate Location Reopening Tuesday, Jan. 27

Another Eastgate Crossing business has set a reopening date after sustaining flood damage during Tropical Depression Chantal last summer. The Loop, which has been closed since Chantal hit the Triangle last July, will reopen Tuesday, Jan. 27 at 11 a.m.

“After months of rebuilding, our beloved neighborhood restaurant returns — thanks to community support and shared resilience,” the business said on its official Facebook page. “Can’t wait to see your familiar faces — we miss you!”

The Loop, located at the south end of the Eastgate Crossing shopping center, was one of many restaurants and businesses in the complex which had to close in the wake of Chantal’s flooding. Shake Shack, Guglhupf, Rise Southern Biscuits & Righteous Chicken and Jersey Mike’s were among several which closed but have since reopened. Others, such as Bruegger’s Bagels and Kipos, have yet to reopen, though the latter has indicated on social media it is making progress toward a reopening date. The Loop has a second Triangle location in Durham which was not affected by the flooding. The Florida-based franchise has two other North Carolina locations in Winston-Salem and Kernersville…
