A new era is on the horizon for Palo Verde Hospital in Blythe as its healthcare district voted to move ahead with negotiations with Riverside County to take over daily operations at the emergency room.
The three Palo Verde Healthcare District board members unanimously authorized district counsel and other representatives to negotiate a management agreement with the county or a county-approved management team, as well as approved a $1 million loan from the county, which the district received last week.
