‘It’s a marathon, not a sprint’: Southern Indiana battles inches of snowfall

CLARK COUNTY, Indiana — A snowed-in Clark County is filled with the sounds of snow plows working 24/7.

“I’m telling people it’s a marathon not a sprint,” said Jeffersonville Street Commissioner Kevin Morlan. “When we have a snowstorm like this it’s all hands on deck. Everyone in the city who can drive a truck, who’s a CDL operator, literally if you can drive a truck and operate a snow plow we’re gonna put you to work.”

The Jeffersonville Street Department has 13 snow plows that were out on the road as soon as the snow started falling. The department has 3 crews of 13 members who are on the roads 24/7…
