A former Alabama police chief has been ordered to forfeit several properties connected to a scheme to fraudulently obtain federal pandemic assistance funds, but he will avoid prison.
Samuel Cornelius Green, the former Brundidge police chief, in October pleaded guilty to illegally receiving funds through the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program.
