State police assist in delivering baby in car on side of the interstate during massive snowstorm in Pennsylvania

PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WTRF) — Pennsylvania State Police assisted with the delivery of a baby on Interstate 279 late Thursday night during a snowstorm.

Troopers were dispatched shortly after 11:25 p.m. to help Pittsburgh EMS. They were the first to arrive on scene and found that the occupants of a vehicle had delivered a baby boy inside the car.

State police provided immediate aid and supported traffic control while paramedics cared for the newborn…
