UTICA, N.Y. — Volunteers across New York are getting ready to clean up trails, greenways and parks as part of Canal Clean Sweep.
According to Parks & Trails New York and the New York State Canal Corporation, the event will take place April 17-19, and encourages people to host local clean-ups along the Erie Canalway Trail, Champlain Canalway Trail, Glens Falls Feeder Canal Trail, Oswego Canal Trail, Black River Canal, D&H O&W Rail Trails, Chenango Canal Towpath Trail or Cayuga-Seneca Canal Trail.
By volunteering, people can help remove litter, improve public spaces and get the Canalway Trail ready for the busy spring and summer seasons…
