Mass. sheriff calls for DHS leaders to resign after federal agents kill 2 people

The sheriff of Bristol County in Massachusetts has called for Department of Homeland Security and Border Patrol leaders to step down after three U.S. citizens were shot, two fatally, during Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations in Minnesota.

“Law enforcement is not allowed to break the law to enforce the law,” said Bristol County Sheriff Paul Heroux, in a statement on Monday.

Heroux called Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem and Border Patrol Commander-at-Large Greg Bovino “incompetent,” they are “endangering law enforcement everywhere” and that “both should step down.”…
