(WDBJ) – Across our hometowns, Roanoke, Danville, Salem, and Lynchburg have announced when they will use snowplows in residential neighborhoods on January, 26, 2026.
City of Lynchburg
The City of Lynchburg says crews and private contractors started early on Monday, January 26, to remove snow on residential streets. The City says it’ll likely take multiple additional shifts to complete due to the weight of the snow along with the persistent frigid temperatures.
The City says round-the-clock snow removal and ice control operations with workers working 12-hour shifts is ongoing on city streets.
Lynchburg is also asking residents to keep off city streets, “if possible to keep safe and to allow plows and spreaders to do their work.”…
