A Sonoma winery beloved by young Bay Area drinkers is expanding.
Scribe Winery has purchased the Arrowhead Vineyard, a 150-acre site adjacent to Scribe’s existing estate. It’s the first time owners Andrew and Adam Mariani have grown their land holdings since they founded Scribe in 2007. The brothers did not disclose a purchase price.
“We’re trying to build a strong foundation for Scribe,” Andrew Mariani said. Owning Arrowhead will allow them to purchase less fruit from other growers, thereby controlling a greater share of their farming. “I think that will improve the quality of the wines and also just double down on our story here and the revival of this little corner of Sonoma.”…
