SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — One person was hospitalized after semi-truck crashed into a concrete barrier on westbound I-80 in Parley’s Canyon, causing residual delays.
The Utah Department of Transportation posted on X saying, “This crash is WB and involves a semi-truck at East Canyon/MP 133. Plan for heavy delays between Park City and SLC.”
According to Sgt. Luis Silva, UHP, a semi-truck suffered a mechanical failure and struck the right concrete barrier.
The driver of the truck was not injured, but a passenger reportedly suffered minor injuries. The passenger was then transported to a local hospital in stable condition. The right two lanes on westbound I80 were closed for investigation and clean up, causing heavy delays between Park City and Salt Lake City.
