PORTLAND, Ore. – A mother and daughter from Tigard are facing serious charges related to health care fraud and forced labor. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Marie Gertrude Jean Valmont and Yolandita Marie Andre were indicted on 12 counts last week.
The indictment accuses them of coercing three individuals, including a minor, to work in an adult foster care home for little to no pay. Valmont also allegedly confiscated the victims’ documents to keep them working.
