On January 20, 2026, around 4 a.m. at a registered sober facility on the 4000 block of South 34th Street, Keen—newly moved in three days prior—accused a resident of stealing his thoughts amid mental health decline from stopping medication. He stabbed three victims (neck/stomach, abdomen, and one with burns), then ignited mattresses and clothes at the base of stairs to trap upstairs residents.
