Community voices shape Fern Ridge Lake master plans

VENETA, Ore. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is engaging with local communities to discuss master plans for several lakes, emphasizing the importance of public input.

Community members have gathered to hear from project leaders about plans for Fern Ridge Lake, Fall Creek, Dexter, Lookout Point, and Hills Creek Lakes. The Army Corps of Engineers is actively incorporating feedback from these meetings into their planning process.

“We’ll analyze it,” said Chris Page, project manager for the master plan update. “We’ll incorporate it into a draft document, which then will be released to the public and there’ll be another opportunity for the public to comment on that draft document and what they may or may not see, you know, how their comments were reflected.”…
