New Lounge and Nightlife Space Opening in Gateway Village

CHARLOTTE, NC — Wild Roses, an intimate lounge concept from Charlotte native John Georgopoulos, is targeting a February opening at 710 W Trade St Suite E, Charlotte, NC 28202, Georgopoulos told Business Debut.

Georgopoulos is known in the area for Little Village Tavern, which he sold last year after operating for over 20 years. He decided to open Wild Roses after identifying a need in the Gateway Village area for a quieter dining and lounge concept.

What to Expect

Georgopoulos described Wild Roses as a conversation-forward lounge. “This is supposed to be a place where people could come and have a conversation and not have music blasting,” he told Business Debut.

The lounge is designed for about 40 guests, with a mix of seating including three Chesterfield couches with chairs facing them in one section, several four-top tables and a bar area with additional seating.

Menu and Vision

Wild Roses will focus on cocktails paired with shareable plates, with a limited menu built to complement the bar program. Georgopoulos said the kitchen also plans to offer a few entrees, including lamb chops and salmon…
