Baldwin County garbage can washes up on England beach

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — From the shores of Baldwin County to the coast of Weymouth, Dorset, England, a garbage can traveled across the Atlantic Ocean, where an amateur photographer found it.

Ryan Stalker found what he calls a “wheely bin” and began taking photos, later posting them to Facebook.

“So we’ve been having quite a few storms over here, quite bad ones actually,” said Stalker. “So we decided, I do a lot of beach combing, so when the storms pick up and come across the Atlantic, I go down to the beaches and beach comb.”

He was at Bowleaze Cove on Sunday when he found the can, which was covered in barnacles.

“I had a look at it. It had some goose barnacles on it, which, to me, had traveled quite a long distance, and then I noticed the name on the side of it and thought that’s definitely traveled a long way,” said Stalker…
