Man dies in Sacramento-area crash after John Deere tractor falls on him, avoid area

Around 8:11 p.m., the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded to an area near Oak Avenue in Orangevale for reports of a crash. For unknown reasons, a man overturned his tractor and was pinned underneath it. Firefighters said he died as a result of his injuries.

CHP also responded to the scene and confirmed that the incident happened on private property. However, Oak Avenue from Main Avenue to west of Cardwell Avenue is closed until further notice.

According to CHP, the man was ejected from the tractor before it fell on him. It is unclear if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the incident…
