MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Temperatures this morning were more than 20 degrees colder than yesterday along the coast, with readings in the low and mid-20s. However, it felt as cold as 12 degrees in Myrtle Beach due to winds over 10 mph. The Pee Dee region was approximately 15 degrees colder, with temperatures ranging from 18 to 22 degrees and wind chills between 14 and 18 degrees.
Temperatures are not expected to rise above freezing until late morning, and afternoon highs will remain more than 10 degrees below average, peaking in the low 40s.
