MDAC opens donation site for winter storm victims

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) –  Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce Andy Gipson (R-Miss.) announced he directed the old National Guard Armory on the State Fairgrounds be opened to receive donations to help those affected by Winter Storm Fern.

The Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce (MDAC) team will collect bottled water, nonperishable food items, can openers, basic essential paper products, baby diapers and formula, propane cook stoves and propane bottles.

The items can be delivered to the Old Armory from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on January 26, 2026.
