Tempe reiterates, police do ‘not conduct immigration enforcement activities’

TEMPE, Ariz. — Tempe police released a statement Monday stating that their agency has no part in any immigration enforcement and does not participate in joint immigration operations.

While the police department aids federal and state law enforcement partners, the partnerships involving Tempe police “are limited to criminal justice and public safety responsibilities.”
