Man wanted in Maryland arrested in Steuben County

BATH, N.Y. (WENY) — A man wanted in Maryland and on the run for months over an alleged armed robbery was captured in Bath, N.Y.

Amari Lee, 26, was discovered in the Village of Bath after two arrests in the span of two days last week. He was first taken into custody for breaking into a vacant home. Lee was released and was arrested the following day for allegedly stealing from a pizza joint and threatening officers with a hammer.

Police say in those instances, he gave a fake name to officers. After the second arrest, police say they discovered his real name, and that he was wanted for armed robbery in Maryland…
