The former pastor of a Hoover megachurch has died.
The Rev. Dr. Jim H. Savage, former senior pastor of Riverchase United Methodist Church from 1998-2018, died on Jan. 24. He was 68.
During Dr. Savage’s nearly two-decade tenure, Riverchase grew to 3,000 members, with average Sunday attendance of more than 1,600, making it one of the largest United Methodist churches in the Birmingham metro area…
