What a snowstorm! Boston’s Logan Airport officially recorded 23.2” of snow from our two-day storm from Sunday through Monday. Now, as we turn the page, we’re focusing on more cold weatherand the potential for more snow this weekend.
In fact, with temperatures remaining below freezing today through the weekend, the snow on the ground isn’t going anywhere. Highs will be in the low 20s today through Thursday, but wind coming over the snowpack will make it feel like the negatives.
A push of arctic air by Friday will send high temperatures into the teens, but gusty west winds will make it feel even colder, possibly as low as 20 degrees below zero in a few neighborhoods.
Saturday morning will likely be the coldest! We’re tracking temperatures around 1 degree in Boston… and you already know wind chill values will add insult to injury. Remember to care for your pets, plants, the pipes around your home and your elderly neighbors.
All eyes are still on the weekend forecast for a potential coastal storm to impact southern New England, particularly by Sunday.
