Multiple schools in Indiana announce closures for Wednesday

INDIANA — Numerous school districts across Indiana have announced closures, E-learning days and delayed starts for Wednesday as a historic winter storm continues to impact travel and safety throughout the state.

In southwestern Indiana’s Gibson and Knox counties, many schools will not hold traditional in-person classes: East Gibson Schools, Greater Jasper Consolidated Schools, Loogootee Schools, North Gibson Schools, South Knox Schools, Pike County Schools, Southeast and Southwest Dubois Schools, Washington Community School and White River Valley Schools are among those listed as closed or observing non-traditional instruction. Several others — including **Barr-Reeve, Bloomfield, Dugger Union Community, Linton-Stockton and North Knox — will conduct synchronous or asynchronous E-learning instead of in-person school.

Also in the region, Vincennes Catholic Schools, Vincennes Community Schools, Shakamak Schools and several others are holding virtual learning days
