‘Bittersweet’: Longtime NoDa doughnut shop to close, transition into deli

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — When one door closes, another opens, as they say. The owners of a longtime doughnut place in Charlotte’s NoDa neighborhood will soon be serving up something other than their made-to-order doughnuts.

Since Dec. 2018, Reigning Doughnuts has brought joy and positivity to the NoDa community. On Tuesday, the company announced on social media that Sunday, February 15, will be its last day of service.

“It has been such a fun ride, and we’ve loved operating this place—it’s brought so much joy to our guests, our community of NoDa, and to us!” the business wrote in a social media post. “We are so grateful to our team—everyone has put in so much time, energy and positivity to make this place such a special place to enjoy.
