Earthquake reported in Midlands after winter storm

KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said an earthquake was reported in the Midlands Tuesday afternoon.

Officials said the 2.1 magnitude quake hit 3.5 miles south southwest of Lugoff, South Carolina at 3:32 p.m. at a depth of 4 kilometers.

According to the agency, the earthquake was also 16.2 miles east northeast of Dentsville and 22.3 miles east northeast of Columbia…
