Michigan landscaping company accused of taking payments, but performing ‘little to no work’

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Attorney General Dana Nessel has won a default judgment against Caltons Lawn Care and Landscaping LLC and its owners, Aron Dean Calton and Leslie Calton of Kent City, for violating the Michigan Consumer Protection Act.

Nessel said the company took advance payments or deposits for lawn and pool projects, did little or no work, and then ignored or blocked customers who asked for refunds.
