M’Coul’s Public House closes after nearly 24 years in downtown Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — M’Coul’s Public House, a longtime Irish-American pub in downtown Greensboro, has closed its doors, the business announced in a statement shared online Tuesday.”

“With full hearts,” the pub said it was shutting down, thanking employees as well as “guests and regulars” who made the space “feel like home.” The statement did not give a reason for the closure or say when the pub served its final customers.

M’Coul’s opened in April 2002 and became known for scratch-made Irish-American pub fare, including fish and chips, along with cocktails and a wide selection of import and craft draft beers. The pub promoted itself as a place where customers didn’t need to wait for St. Patrick’s Day to get a properly poured pint of Guinness…
